Our goal
ExtremeSpec aims to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. The site has not been formally audited, so we do not claim that it conforms.
What we try to do
- Keep text readable, with sensible sizes and spacing
- Add alternative text to images that carry meaning
- Make pages usable with a keyboard alone
- Write link text that says where the link goes
- Maintain enough contrast between text and background
Known limits
Some things are outside our control. Store pages that product links lead to, and any embedded third-party content, follow their own accessibility practices. We can’t change how those pages work.
Report a barrier
If a page on ExtremeSpec is hard to read or use, email contact@extremespec.net. Tell us the page address, what got in the way and, if you can, the device or assistive tool you were using. The ExtremeSpec Editorial Team takes these reports seriously and uses them to improve the site.
You can also reach us through the Contact Us page.
Why we are careful with our wording
Many sites announce full compliance without any evidence. We would rather be plain: accessibility is an ongoing effort here, and some pages may fall short of the guidelines even though we try to catch problems as we write.
Tips for reading the site
- Browser zoom and text-size settings work on all pages
- Screen readers can follow the heading structure, which is kept in logical order
- Tables and lists are marked up as real tables and lists where we use them
Improving over time
When someone reports a barrier, the editorial team looks at the page, fixes what it can and checks similar pages for the same problem. If a fix isn’t possible because the issue sits on a store or other outside site, we will say so when we reply.
